The Cardinal is a deceptively humble pick. Classed as a limited common pet from the second half of the Fairy Event, it sits at the bottom of the rarity ladder, which immediately tells you something important: this is not a chase pet, and you should never overpay for it in trades. Its value comes from collection completeness and event nostalgia rather than build-defining power.

Because it is event-locked and limited, the Cardinal is no longer freely farmable, so the only way to add it now is through the player market. The good news is that common-tier limiteds rarely command serious prices, making this an easy gap to fill for collectors who want a complete Fairy Event set without draining their sheckles.

On a serious farming team, the Cardinal is a fringe choice at best. Common pets tend to offer modest, narrow passives that high-tier mythical and divine pets simply outclass. Slot it in early-game when your options are thin, or keep it purely as a display piece. If you are optimizing for raw output, your team slots are better spent on rarer pets with stronger economy or growth abilities, and the Cardinal politely steps aside for them.
