That means anyone who opened Bird Eggs during the event almost certainly ended up with a stack of these, which is exactly what defines a Common: high supply, low individual value.

For a farming build, the Black Bird's role is bulk and filler rather than firepower. Its near-50% appearance rate makes it the default thing you hatch while actually fishing for the rare birds hiding behind tiny percentages in the same egg. Because the row does not list a confirmed numeric passive, treat its exact ability scaling as something to verify in-game; at Common tier you should not expect a build-defining boost.

Does it earn a serious-team slot? Realistically no — its value is as an early-game placeholder and, thanks to the limited tag, a small nostalgia piece once the event closed. The same odds that made it easy to get also keep its trade value low. Use it to fill space while you grind toward the rarer hatches.
