Its uncommon tier means the underlying ability is modest by design, and as a limited it can no longer be obtained fresh from its original source — the appeal now is owning a tidy event leftover rather than chasing raw power.

On a farming build the Jackalope reads as a budget bridge pet. Its rabbit-hare theming points toward small movement or harvest-pace utility rather than the big sell-multipliers that uncommons simply do not provide. That makes it a reasonable hold while you are still hatching toward your first legendaries, where any passive at all beats an empty slot, but it falls off hard once your roster matures.

For a serious team the honest answer is no, the Jackalope does not earn a permanent slot. Uncommon ceilings cannot compete with even a mid-tier legendary's output. Keep it as a low-cost Beanstalk memento or a starter helper, then retire it the moment a real money or mutation pet is ready to take its place on the active bar.
