The New Year's Chimp is a limited mythical pet from the New Year's Event, sitting a clear notch above the event's common filler. It hatches from both the New Year's Egg and the Premium New Year's Egg at a 15% chance each, which is a comfortable middle ground: rare enough to feel like a real pull, common enough that a focused grind during the event should land you one or two.

That 15% rate is the key planning number. With even odds across both eggs, there is no "smart" egg to favor for the chimp specifically, so you choose your egg based on whichever rarer pet you are also hunting. Mythical-tier pets generally bring meaningfully stronger passives than the uncommons, which is what makes the chimp worth actively targeting rather than just collecting incidentally.

On a serious team the New Year's Chimp is a legitimate consideration, especially while the event is live and it is the strongest piece you can reliably farm.
