The Seal is an obtainable Rare pet released in the Summer Update and later brought back during the Safari Harvest Event through the Safari Joyce vendor. That second route is the key to understanding it: rather than relying purely on egg RNG, the Seal has been offered through an event merchant, which means acquiring it was a matter of showing up during the right window and trading with Joyce rather than grinding hatch odds.

For a farming build, a Rare-tier pet like the Seal sits in the useful-but-replaceable middle band. It carries its own named ability and gives you more punch than a Common filler, yet it rarely outperforms the Legendary and Mythic economic engines that anchor top rosters. Think of it as a solid upgrade for an early-to-mid game team that has outgrown Commons but has not yet stacked high-rarity earners.

On a serious endgame team the Seal usually rotates out in favor of stronger passives, but its event-vendor history gives it collector appeal: pets tied to limited Safari Harvest stock are harder to re-obtain once the event closes, so keeping one is reasonable even after it leaves your active lineup.
