False Memories · Awakening
- False MemoriesAWAKENING
A cutscene shows the locket opening to reveal the user's brother and idol; the idol then hovers beside you while pink sparkles fill the air.

Other players see the awakened user bleeding heavily from the nose. The idol is invisible to them, since everything she does is really done by the user.

Finishers
Finishers are the kill animations a move plays when it lands the last hit; the numbers are the wiki's.

If the punch hits an unragdolled opponent, they block the initial impact and try to survive the follow-through, but fail. Shared with Brutal Impact, which reverts to punching.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Versatile moveset with many mix-ups built around the special to confuse the opponent.
- Boogie Woogie is effective in 1v1s because it can catch targets off guard and open many opportunities, and it is even better in fights with more than one player.
- The glide from Pebble Throw helps start combos or close distance, especially when paired with other moves.
Cons
- Moves are easy to interrupt and punish because of long startups and high endlag.
- Neutral pressure is weak: Pebble Throw is the only reliable tool outside of combos.
- Combo potential is low in Awakening, since every move has high knockback and short range.
- The visual indicator at the start of Boogie Woogie is easy to notice.
About Switcher
Aoi Todo's Boogie Woogie, the clap that swaps places with anything carrying cursed energy, is the whole identity of Switcher. It is a full character, free for everyone since it left Early Access in V1.49, with 100 HP.
The special has a 6 second cooldown (3 seconds if blocked), reaches 60 studs, and becomes unblockable within 35 studs. Around it sit mixups: item swaps for half the cooldown, fakeouts, and Perfect Swap, where an M1 right after the clap shortens the wait to 1 or 2 seconds. The attacks are slow but heavy: Brute Force deals 17.5 on 17 seconds, Swift Kick 15 on 15, Elbow Drop 12 on 16, and Pebble Throw only 4 on 12. Swapping with the pebble gives either a Gut Punch combo or the fast glide of Blazing Star.
False Memories heals 20 HP, lasts 60 seconds and brings the idol along. Climax Jumping deals 42.4 on 22 seconds, and Brothers, a counter with a 1.1 second window, hits for 80 on a 45 second cooldown. The wiki's cons are specific: long startups and high endlag make moves easy to punish, neutral pressure leans almost entirely on Pebble Throw, and the clap's visual indicator is easy to read.
