Bank guide
Bank launched on February 9, 2016, built by Thexz, and its gimmick was a set of metal detectors. Anyone carrying a concealed weapon through one set off a loud beep and flashing red lights, but only the Hero, the Sheriff or the Murderer could trigger them. That made it one of two maps, along with Research Facility, where roles could be read without ever seeing a gun or knife. Detectors stood in the main room and at the doorway where the Sheriff could open the vault.
Playing around the detectors
The wiki's tip for Murderers is to slip through the vents and skip the detectors entirely. With a Fake Gun equipped, walking through one makes you look like the Sheriff. Bank also had the highest coin spawn rate of any map.
For hiding, the listed spots are behind the main-room chair with the sit emote, behind the cabinet near the vault entry, in a vault locker, in the gaps between a cubicle and the wall, in bathroom stalls and in the vault closets filled with Robux and Tix.
A disagreement over firsts
Bank 2 replaced it on October 17, 2018. The Timeline page calls Bank the first interactive map, while the Mil-Base page says Mil-Base, dated October 24, 2015, was the first map with an interactive feature. The wiki does not reconcile the two claims.
Trivia about Bank
- Arrived on February 9, 2016; Bank 2 succeeded it on October 17, 2018.
- Was one of two maps where roles could be told without seeing weapons (the other being Research Facility).
