Layout and features

  • Early MM2 map added alongside Workplace on December 27, 2014.
  • Removed after the Bonus Rounds update of January 5, 2015, making it the shortest-lived map (about 10 days).
  • Unpopular, confusing and small, so it was rarely voted; known as the 'forgotten' or 'lost' MM2 map.

Mil-Base (Original) guide

The first Mil-Base lasted about ten days. It was added on December 27, 2014 alongside Workplace and removed after the Bonus Rounds update on January 5, 2015, which the wiki says makes it the shortest-lived map in the game. Nobody has identified who built it; the wiki states that the creator is not known.

Because it appeared so briefly, very little is documented. It was rarely voted for, mainly because players found it unpopular, confusing and small, and footage of it is hard to find. Fans call it the forgotten MM2 map or the lost MM2 map. The image captions on its wiki page name storage rooms, a lab, a kitchen, sleeping quarters, an operating room, a weapon storage room and a target practice room, but the page lists no hiding spots and gives no tips, so none are repeated here.

The name did not die with it. An updated map under the same name, Mil-Base, replaced it in late 2015, and the wiki's page for that map dates it to October 24, 2015. Do not confuse the two when reading older discussions.

In the days when disguises was the only mode, players who landed on this map were randomly dressed as a business person, a scientist or an HEV-suit character from Half-Life.

Trivia about Mil-Base (Original)

  • Replaced by an updated Mil-Base in late 2015 (the Mil-Base page dates it October 24, 2015).
  • In the early disguises-only days it dressed players as a business person, a scientist or an HEV-suit character.
