Layout and features

  • Mid-sized layout of a kitchen, computer zone, meeting room, office, storage area and numerous corridors.
  • Long hallway is popular for 1v1s and for Murderers, but innocents dislike the few hiding spots and dead ends.
  • The wiki calls it the oldest map in MM2 that is still playable; it came out two days after the game's launch.

Hiding spots in Workplace

  • In the kitchen fridge
  • Behind boxes where the long corridor ends
  • Behind the doors in the offices
  • Behind the computer desks (sit emote)

Tips by role

As the Murderer

  • Haste, Ghost and Ninja are recommended.
  • Springing out on people in the corridor works well to take down a gun holder.
  • When walking the hallway late in the round, watch for a Sheriff or Hero.
  • The map is small, so you rarely need to search hiding spots.

Workplace guide

Workplace went live on December 27th, 2014, two days after Murder Mystery 2 launched, and the wiki calls it the oldest map that is still playable. A common belief is that Zyleak built it, but the wiki says that myth was cleared up on June 5, 2024, when Zyleak replied that he did not make it, and notes that he became a map builder in April 2015, four months after Workplace appeared.

Who made it

The infobox credits PartConnect (DevChris). The only support is a computer screen in the map that reads 'PartConnect was Here :D', so the wiki says the map is assumed to be theirs.

How it plays

A medium-sized map with a kitchen, computer area, meeting room, office room, storage area and several hallways. Players are divided: the long hallway makes it a favourite for 1v1s and for Murderers, while Innocents dislike the few hiding spots and the dead ends, since a chase that reaches one is over. Hiding places are the kitchen fridge, boxes at the end of the long corridor, behind office doors and behind the computer desks using the sit emote.

Haste, Ghost and Ninja are recommended.

Trivia about Workplace

  • Zyleak did not build it; the wiki says that myth was cleared on June 5, 2024, and Zyleak became a map builder in April 2015.
  • An office background noise added on January 5, 2015 was removed in late 2015.
  • In the early disguises-only days it dressed players in business suits.

Where the wiki disagrees

These pages of the MM2 Wiki give different answers. Both are shown instead of picking one.

  • Infobox names PartConnect (DevChris) as creator, but the trivia says the map is only 'assumed' to be theirs because a computer screen reads 'PartConnect was Here :D'.
