Emerald guide
Emerald is a crafted knife, and its look has a documented origin. The texture was made by the Roblox user Donut_Steel and uploaded to Roblox on September 13, 2014.
To get it, a player exchanges 12 Rare Shards at the crafting station for a random legendary weapon. The result is chance-based, so the same recipe can also hand you Midnight, Overseer (Gun), Sparkle or Predator (Knife). Emerald can also be traded, which is the way to skip the roll.
Appearance
The blade and guard are green and black and resemble an emerald gem, which is where the name comes from. The handle is solid black.
Why it is a crafting item
The Crafting page lists salvaging a Rare weapon as giving 2 Rare Shards, so shards can come from breaking down other weapons. That is the trade-off with this recipe: you spend shards without choosing the outcome. The wiki puts Emerald in the same crafting pool as Midnight, Overseer (Gun), Sparkle and Predator (Knife), and lists no box or event for it.
