Mastery — In-Depth Analysis

Mastery is the most demanding of the progression badges that are not tied to a team. Within one game and before reaching day 99, you have to upgrade the campfire to level 6, save all four missing kids, upgrade the crafting bench to level 5 and finish every quest from the Pelt Trader. Each goal is a normal feature of the game, but the badge asks for all of them together, so it works as a checklist of the major systems that has to be completed on a schedule.

The wiki lists this badge with 4 stars of difficulty and a reward of 4 diamonds.

It was introduced with the permanent badges of The Forest Wakes Up update (June 13, 2026). It carries four stars of difficulty but pays only 4 diamonds, which is lower than several easier badges, so the listed reward does not scale with the effort here. The wording of the short description and of the requirement differ slightly on how day 99 is counted.
