Honeycomb — In-Depth Analysis

The Honeycomb is a food item in 99 Nights in the Forest that restores hunger and heals the player. In the item data it is listed with two hunger icons and the Healing effect, and the wiki says it fills about as much as a Cooked Morsel. It is considered vegetarian, and it cannot be cooked.

There are two ways to get one. The first is to kill a Bee, which is the only animal that drops it. The second is to buy it from the Beekeeper NPC for 10 pollen. It does not spawn naturally in the world, so you have to go through one of those routes.

Beyond eating it directly, the Honeycomb has other uses. It can go into the Crock Pot to make a Stew. It is also an ingredient for the Candied Meal, which uses 1 Honeycomb, 1 piece of meat and one more ingredient of your choice. And it can be used to tame a Bee.

The wiki points out that it is one of the first edible items from a mini biome that heals you, which makes it a convenient early pickup if you already visit the Beekeeper for other purchases. Since it has no special preparation, you can keep it in your inventory and eat it when you need to recover.
