Cultist Ritual Circle — In-Depth Analysis
The Cultist Ritual Circle is an unusual Dangerous Area because its danger isn't fixed defenders. The location records no permanent inhabitants — there is no listed garrison of melee or crossbow cultists guarding it. Instead the threat comes from the site itself and whatever the surrounding forest wanders into it, making the Circle one of the few cultist spots you might find momentarily empty.
Its rewards are the core cultist economy: Fuel, Scrap, a Special, and Mossy Coins. With no entrenched defenders to grind through, the Circle can be one of the faster cultist objectives to clear when nothing has spawned nearby, letting you grab Mossy Coins and crafting materials with comparatively little risk.
That said, don't treat the empty roster as a guarantee of safety. Ritual sites sit in contested ground, and roaming wolves, bears, or patrolling cultists from neighbouring camps can arrive while you loot. Sweep the perimeter before committing, grab the Special and coins quickly, and keep an exit lane open. Approached opportunistically — especially when you spot it undefended — the Ritual Circle is an efficient, low-cost stop on a resource run.
