Cultist Hunter Camp — In-Depth Analysis
The Cultist Hunter Camp is one of the nastiest open Cultist & Area encounters in the forest, blending human enemies with apex wildlife. You don't just face cultists here — the garrison pairs two Melee Cultists and two Crossbow Cultists with two Alpha Wolves and a Bear, so the camp punches far above a normal raid. That mix of ranged fire, fast flanking wolves, and a high-health Bear means it can overwhelm an underprepared trio in seconds.
The payoff is the standard cultist economy: Fuel, Scrap, a Special, and Mossy Coins. The Mossy Coins are the real draw, since they feed the shop economy, but nothing here is healing or food — you bring your own sustain and leave with currency and crafting materials.
It is worth visiting only with strong gear and ideally three or four players who can split focus. Bait the Alpha Wolves and Bear away from the Crossbow Cultists so you never fight all five threats at once, and prioritise dropping the ranged shooters early. Going in light, or alone, is a fast route to losing your run.
