Description

Forged at the Weird Machine inside Haunted Castle, the Skull Guitar is one of the few mythical-rarity guns in Blox Fruits — a category that rewards investment in the Gun stat rather than Sword. Getting it requires completing the crafting step at that specific machine, so expect to spend time navigating the eerie corridors of Haunted Castle before you can equip it. Its three moves — Undead Notes, Soul Shaker, and El Diablo — give it a distinctive offensive identity that sets it apart from standard firearms. Like every weapon in Blox Fruits, mastery climbs as you land hits, and mythical rarity means the payoff at higher mastery is notably higher than common or uncommon alternatives. Because it is a gun, it fits best in builds that already stack Gun mastery, making it a natural endgame pick for players who favor ranged combat. The Haunted Castle setting also means you will encounter it relatively late in progression, so treat the crafting grind as a milestone rather than an early-game shortcut.

Moves & Abilities

3 moves
TAP
Undead Notes

The user plays a riff, quickly releasing a swirl of glowing green notes with green strands trailing it. It explodes on impact and when it explodes, it shoots out small green notes (these notes do damage). It deals high damage with a large hitbox. This move has Destructible Physics and consumes 20 Energy.

Z
Soul Shaker
Mastery 150

The user strums the guitar and summons a skull with the power of the undead in front of them, which opens its mouth and instantly shoots a beam of souls from its mouth that can go through walls and solid surfaces, whilst inverting colors in their screens in red for a single frame. The beam hard stuns upon hitting an enemy, dealing high damage and knocking them away, similar to Kabucha's [X] move but more instant. However, this move does not break Instinct most of the time, making it a somewhat weaker version of it.

X
El Diablo
Mastery 300

The user quickly strums the guitar before summoning a skull, which rises to the sky with soul static, before exploding and creating an aerial laser, sending extreme energy into the core-like center, distorting the enviorment and vision of any player looking at it. * The actual attack inflicts tick-damage that breaks Instinct of anyone in the radius of the move. If the user lands the initial hit on an enemy or a player, they will get stunned, and a soul will follow and regenerate the user's health. It heals about 3% of the user's max health and 10% damage converted to health. Multiple souls can be summoned this way, making this move a very efficient healing method when farming or fighting against teamers.

  • Hitbox is better than other guns.
  • Has Destructible Physics.
  • Multi-target.

Cons

14
  • High-level requirements to obtain and a lot of Materials are required.
  • Currently the hardest gun to obtain without help from guides.
  • Rubber users are immune, and while they are stunned by [X], their instinct will not break.
  • Instinct-trickable (non-impact).
  • Consumes energy. (It doesn't actually consume that much energy since the user can regenerate energy fast if the user has a lot of it)
  • Slow projectile speed.
  • Hard to hit from far away.
  • Is sometimes hard to hit at close range.
  • Can be dodged with Instinct.
  • Can be easily avoided.
  • The damage can be dodged at the edge.
  • Having a medium user stun makes it ineffective for PvP in the air.
  • Only some swords can be used during the move.
  • Visual effects are huge and can block both the sight of not only the enemy, but the user as well, making it harder to combo after without Instinct.

Trivia

10
  • 1When using the M1 of Skull Guitar, sometimes, when it is lagging or just occasionally, the M1 will stop mid-air and show the model of the M1

  • 7While pressing M1 and then a move at the same time, it will cancel the move.
  • 8"El Diablo" means "The Devil" in Spanish.
  • 9The Skull Guitar is regarded as one of the best guns for PvP and is the most popular by far.
  • 10Refined Slingshot's and Skull Guitar's are the only gun moves that are able to apply Life Leech.

Skull Guitar — In-Depth Analysis

What Is Skull Guitar?

Skull Guitar is a Mythical rarity gun — the highest weapon rarity in Blox Fruits — crafted at the Weird Machine inside the Haunted Castle in the Third Sea. The recipe demands Bones, Ectoplasm, Dark Fragments, and Fragments, making it one of the most material-intensive weapons to build. That high barrier is intentional: Skull Guitar is widely considered among the strongest guns in the game.

What Makes It Special

Skull Guitar's greatest distinction is that it behaves unlike typical guns in the game. Its projectiles possess Destructible Physics and multi-target capability — meaning they can damage Sea Event enemies, large bosses, and multiple targets simultaneously. Crucially, the impact can break Instinct outright, and one of its moves continues to damage enemies even after they dodge, a property almost no other weapon shares. Its range is overwhelming for a gun.

The weaknesses are real but manageable: slow projectile speed means leading your shots matters, Rubber users are immune, and its visual effects are large enough to obscure your own view during follow-up combos.

- Best role: Third Sea PvP, Sea Events, and large boss encounters where AoE matters - Key advantage: Instinct-breaking projectile that hits through dodges is nearly unmatched in the gun category - Concrete tip: Combine Skull Guitar with a fast-activating fruit stun immediately after the Instinct break — the brief window before your opponent recovers is your combo entry, and the guitar's slow projectile speed means timing the stun correctly is the skill ceiling.

Where it shines
  • High damage.
  • Overwhelming range, can hit people from far away.
  • Acts greatly as a combo starter.
  • All moves (including M1s) can damage enemies from Sea Events.
  • Can break Instinct.
What to watch out for
  • High-level requirements to obtain and a lot of Materials are required.
