Machine Manual guide
Machine Manual is the plainest extraction upgrade: +5% Extraction Speed for 350 Ichor, with nothing else attached. Against the 45 units a Machine needs, that shaves a 1-star extractor from 60 seconds to about 57.1, a 3-star from 45 to 42.9 and a 5-star from 30 to 28.6. Over a 10-Machine floor, a 1-star Toon recovers around 29 seconds, which is worth a lot when a Twisted is circling.
The wiki points to the Toons with lower Extraction Speed as the best fit, and the reasoning is arithmetic: the stat does not grow linearly (0.75, 0.85, 1.00, 1.20 and 1.50 units per second for 1 to 5 stars), so a flat percentage saves the most seconds where the base time is longest. That means Pebble, Razzle & Dazzle and Shrimpo, who sit at 1 star, gain more from it than Vee, Glisten, Squirm, Yatta, Gourdy or Soulvester, who sit at 5.
There is no floor or Research requirement, which makes it one of the cheapest Store Trinkets, just above Wrench at 325. It is on sale today, and unlike Blue Bandana it has no side effect.
