How to get Speedy Shoes
- 400 Ichor
Speedy Shoes guide
Speedy Shoes is the first speed Trinket most players can afford: 400 Ichor and nothing else, no floors survived and no Research. It adds 5% to both walk and run speed all the time. That is small in absolute terms: a 5-star Toon goes from 20 walk and 30 run to 21 and 31.5, and a 1-star Toon from 10 and 20 to 10.5 and 21. The effect text has no condition and no penalty.
Its value is constancy. Alarm, Pull Toy and Vanity Mirror give bigger numbers but only in specific windows, while Speedy Shoes applies on every floor and at every moment, including the long stretches of walking between machines. For a 1-star Toon, the run speed of 21 is enough to pass Twisted Cocoa's chase speed of 21 only on a tie, so do not expect it to change who catches you, but it does shave seconds off long routes.
It sits among the cheaper Store items, below Pop Pack at 1500 and Pull Toy at 1250, and above Machine Manual at 350. It is on sale now, and it suits any Toon that wants a permanent edge.
