Vanity Mirror turns the last sprint of a floor into a different kind of run: +30% to run speed during Panic Mode, with no change to walking and no time limit other than Panic Mode itself. The wiki's own table shows what that means: a 1-star Toon goes from 20 to 26, a 3-star Toon from 25 to 32.5, and a 5-star Toon from 30 to 39. Panic Mode starts when every Machine is done, and missing the elevator is instant death, so this is where the Trinket earns its slot.
It overlaps with Alarm in purpose. Vanity Mirror gives 5 points more run speed, lasts for the entire Panic Mode and does not touch walk speed, while Alarm adds to walking too but stops after 10 seconds. Because the mirror has no timer, it is the safer pick for Toons that tend to be far from the elevator when the alarm sounds.
Research is on Twisted Glisten, a Rare Twisted that chases at 24, one of the fastest in the roster. It was added on August 14, 2024, together with Fishing Rod, Savory Charm, Sweet Charm and Blushy Bat. There is no Ichor cost, and you can claim it today.
