Where Guiding Light appears
Guiding Light guide
The wiki entry for Guiding Light is filed under another name: Moonlight, also called Blue Light, one of The Three Architects. She looks like a glowing cyan aura with small bright sparkles, and she is the one entity in DOORS that exists to help you. She appears in the Lobby, The Hotel and The Mines.
What she does for you
When you cannot find a required key or fuse, she highlights the object and then the place where it must be used. In Seek chases she marks the correct doors and the spots where you must crouch or jump, and she shuts the doors behind you afterward. In The Library she knocks over a lamp to distract Figure, and in The Electrical Room she lights the breaker switches. In The Shafts she seals doors so Figure cannot pass.
After a death
Each time you die on a main floor she gives a tip about the entity that killed you, shown underwater where you look up at her. The tips become more precise the more often the same entity kills you. With modifiers active she gives no death messages. She is absent from The Rooms, where Curious Light takes her place.
