El Goblino

El Goblino is full name El Goblino Peque Carmine IV, and he is the friendly goblin sitting at a small table in front of the Jeff Shop in The Hotel and The Mines. He is a red, stubby creature with a gold ear piercing, ripped brown shorts, spiked wristbands, large yellow eyes, a beak-like nose and a small tail.

What you get from him

He does not sell anything and cannot hurt you. When you interact with him, he gives exactly three lines of dialogue chosen at random and listed as arrival, chatting and farewell, then stays silent for the rest of the run. He talks in a mix of Spanish and English with plenty of slang, and fills his sentences with words like "man", "düd" and "oye". His chatter hints at the other residents: he names Bob as his friend, and he mentions entities he has run into.

Behavior and trivia

If Rush, Ambush or a Rooms entity (except A-90 with the Room For More modifier) passes through the Jeff Shop, El Goblino hides behind the crate where he usually sits. The Blitz, Oh modifier does not make him hide. He is one of six entities with dialogue, together with Guiding Light, Curious Light, Glitch, Grampy and Cringle. His name translates to The Goblin. The developers released UGC items for him, a head, a shoulder pet and a tail; the head and the pet trigger special lines. His spawn rate is listed as guaranteed.
