Jeff

Jeff, formally Jefftholomew Von Tentickle, runs the one place in DOORS where you can spend the gold you collect. Seen from the dark he is two large glowing white eyes and six dark royal-blue tentacles, and he is a friendly entity that never damages players. His shop is a safe area that always spawns after The Library in The Hotel and after The Nest in The Mines.

The shop

Jeff places four randomized items on the cushions, plus one more at Door 159. The Skeleton Key is always among them. In The Hotel the other three come from lighter, lockpick, vitamins, flashlight and crucifix. In The Mines the pool includes Bulklight, Flashlight, Straplight, Shears, Lockpick, Bandage Pack, Battery Pack, Multitool and Crucifix. Buying makes his eyes look gleeful, and tipping him makes him tap the tip jar; when the jar fills he tosses it behind him and pulls out a new one.

Little reactions

If you change the music on his radio, he glares at it and smacks it back. Shining a light on him makes him cover his eyes with a tentacle. In SUPER HARD MODE he can sell the Shakelight or the NVCS-3000, and a "You Finally Turn Green" Candy in Trick Or Treat gives a small chance of the Shakelight. In RETRO MODE he is out of stock. El Goblino and Bob sit at a separate table in front of the shop. Jeff is listed as 3.1 m tall.
