Noise

Noise is a humanoid made entirely of static that climbs out of old television sets in The Stairwell. It was added on August 28, 2026 and kills on contact. Every Depot Room has a television, and Noise appears as soon as you walk into its line of sight.

It copies your path

Each player gets their own Noise, though spectators can see it, and only one per player can exist at a time. It repeats the route you walked, at constant speed, a few seconds behind you, and pauses in place whenever you stand still. If you drift too far from it, it speeds up to catch up. The journal advice is simple: plan your movement and do not loop back on yourself.

Getting rid of it

Roll the television it came from down a set of stairs, or let it burn when the fire alarm is triggered and you are outside a safe room. Alone, loop a little and then grab the television; if Noise catches up, loop again or use speed items. With allies, one distracts while another pushes the set down. Colliding with Noise is an instant kill and removes everyone else's Noise too.

A disc from The Archives turns Noise into Hijack. Using a Flare near Noise can turn it yellow.
