Queen Grumble

Queen Grumble is a grown-up Giggle: a giant beige creature with eight tentacles, twenty white teeth and a dark-pink scar on her forehead that marks her as the queen. She stands about 10 m tall and she is one of the two secondary antagonists of The Mines, alongside Figure. She was added on August 30, 2024, with The Mines Update.

Where she hunts

You meet her almost immediately after the first Seek chase, then in The Nest, in the second Seek chase, in The Sewage Pipes and in the ending cutscene in The Woods. She behaves like the regular Grumbles but moves 50% faster, and she does not laugh when she spots you, so you must rely on screen shake and roaming sounds, ideally with headphones. She laughs only in the entrance cutscene and in The Woods. Damage is 50 in The Nest and instant death in chase sequences.

Surviving her

After falling off the minecart, sprint to the open gate on the opposite side of the corridor. In The Sewage Pipes, avoid the tunnel she comes from; falling rubble shows which one it is. A Crucifix fails: the effect turns red as she breaks free and returns to roaming, and Grumbles can be banished but she cannot. In The Woods, Seek's hand impales her eye and she burrows into the ground.
