How to survive Hijack

  • Hijack is much faster than Noise and keeps moving when you stand still, stopping only randomly.
  • Bring items that boost your speed when Hijack is active.
  • Have an ally lead Noise far from its television so you can quickly search for the fire alarm.
  • All active Hijacks despawn if any player dies to one of them.

Where Hijack appears

Hijack guide

Hijack is the first entity in DOORS that players create themselves. It is a fusion of Noise and Ransom, a humanoid of red static whose face flashes Ransom's expression, and sometimes a red stop sign appears in its torso when it pauses. It lives in The Stairwell, added August 28, 2026, and it kills instantly.

How you summon it

Go to room S-050 of The Archives and use the laptop that holds Ransom: click the "S" logo, press Eject and take the disk labeled CD-1. Carry it to The Stairwell and insert it into Noise's television. Noise retracts, a video plays, Ransom hijacks the screen and Hijack emerges.

Faster and less predictable

Unlike Noise it does not stop when you stand still. It halts only at random for short, uneven intervals and may change speed after each one. Speed-boosting items help. Ask an ally to lead Noise away from its television so you can find the fire alarm quickly. If any player dies to a Hijack, all active Hijacks despawn. After you beat the first one, Ransom can attack during later Noise encounters, and if it catches you moving it turns Noise into Hijack again.
