The Drones

The Drones are the office crowd of The Archives: chalky black silhouettes whose faces are made of colorful sticky notes, some with crudely drawn eyes, noses or mouths and some blank. There are more than twenty variants, from a plain A to a King, and several can share a room. They arrived with the floor on August 28, 2026.

The shove and the stampede

Drones spawn in random spots and sometimes vanish and reappear elsewhere. They are harmless until pushed. Shove one too far and it knocks you over for 5 damage, laughing in your face, and you drop whatever you were holding. The dangerous moment comes when the wall clocks strike 5:00 or 9:00: a chime plays and a horde rushes down the center corridor. Anyone caught is trampled for 30 damage and left with a footprint on the face.

Surviving them

Hug a side wall to stay out of the way. Stampedes always take the shortest path to the next room, not the route marked on the floor. Some Archives doors are see-through, so check for Drones standing right behind the next one before opening it. Pizza party sectors spawn more of them.
