Ancient Goldwraith guide
Look at the ranks first: the Ancient Goldwraith is 5th of 742 by average value and 6th of 663 by max weight. Few catches sit this high on both lists. It is a Secret, Hunt-tagged fish at Tidefall, bites at Night and wants Sapphire Krill on the hook.
An average goldwraith weighs 450,000 kg, ranging from 240,000 up to 3,727,500 kg. At C$0.08 per kg that gives an average sale of C$322,000, a sum that dwarfs most of the fish documented. Base XP is 22,000, which is a lot but is not the main attraction: the cash is.
Tidefall sells the Fallen Rod, so you can gear up before you go. No weather or season is listed, so the only real conditions are night and the right bait.
The wiki says it is a spectral fish made of living gold, said to be the guardian spirit of the Crowned Ruins.
Verdict: fifth by value among the 742 documented fish. If you can source Sapphire Krill and fish at night, the C$322,000 average is the reason to try. The Fallen Rod is sold at Tidefall.
