Countdown Perch guide
Countdown Perch is no longer available. It is tagged Limited and Unobtainable, so what remains is its record: a Limited fish from Golden Tide Pools in the First Sea, caught with Weird Algae. The in-game description says it appeared as the Golden Tide approached, with fin markings that shift like clock hands.
Its numbers were large. It averaged 450 kg, sold at C$4 per kg for about C$1,800, and gave 2,000 base XP, which is the part many players would have noticed. That average value ranks 267 of the 742 documented fish, comfortably in the upper half. No weight range is recorded beyond the average.
It belonged to the same rarity and zone as Eternal Frostwhale and Hourglass Bass, so it was one of a small trio tied to the Golden Tide event.
If you are reading this to plan a hunt, stop: there is nothing to hunt. The useful reading is as a benchmark. A C$1,800 sale and 2,000 XP show how generous limited-time event fish can be compared with everyday catches, so if a similar event returns, expect the rewards to be worth the effort.
