Party Pufferfish guide
Anyone fishing New Year's Pool in Winter has a pair of near-twins to catch, and Party Pufferfish is the second of them. Like its sibling Party Popperfish it is a Limited fish, currently obtainable, with identical figures across the board. The game note is "Cheers to 2026; Happy New Years!"
The stats: 2.5 kg on average (2 to 6.3 kg), C$675.333 per kg, an average sale of C$1,688.3. That puts it 274th of 742 documented fish by value and 513th of 663 by max weight. It gives 2,026 base XP, which is high for a fish of this size.
Aside from Party Popperfish, the same pool lists Confetti Carp, Eonshell, Sparkler Sardine and Sparkling Corkfin as Limited fish. That is a full table of New Year's catches, and each one is documented as a separate fish.
Verdict: for collectors, the useful lesson is that you need both the Popperfish and the Pufferfish to finish the pair, since neither replaces the other. For pure income, either one sells for around C$1,700, so just sell whichever you reel in second if you only want money.
