Crystal Frilled Shark guide
Crystal Frilled Shark is a Legendary fish from Crystal Cove, caught on Shrimp at Night during Rain in Summer. It is a heavy one: 1,400 to 12,600 kg, averaging 3,700 kg. At C$1,333 per kg an average fish sells for about C$4,933, and it gives 10,000 base XP.
Both numbers are strong. Its average value ranks 178 of 742 documented fish, which is in the top quarter, and its max weight ranks 85 of 663, in the top 100 for size. It is one of the better Legendaries to chase, and its XP alone is a good reason to go.
Crystal Cove also holds two other Legendary fish, Crystal Lobster and Stringed Grouper. Because Crystal Lobster shares the same Night, Rain and Summer window, a good session there can bring more than one of them in the same stretch of weather.
The conditions are demanding, so plan it: wait for Summer, pick a rainy night, and load Shrimp. Expect an average catch near C$4,933 rather than a monster every time, but the 10,000 XP means each one is worth the wait.
