Stringed Grouper

Stringed Grouper pays like a Legendary should. Fish for it in Crystal Cove using Shrimp, and wait for summer, daytime and rain, a tight set of conditions that explains why it is not a casual catch. The data lists it as obtainable.

A typical fish weighs 37 kg, ranging from 14 kg to 126 kg. Its average sale is about C$4,316, which ranks 195 of the 742 documented fish, so it sits in the top 30 percent. By weight it is a mid-pack 268 of 663. Its standout number is XP: 9,000 base, one of the largest figures among the fish in this group, so each successful bite doubles as a big level boost.

In the same zone, Crystal Frilled Shark and Crystal Lobster share its Legendary rarity. Against that competition, the grouper is a sensible target when the weather lines up, and Crystal Cove is a reasonable place to spend a whole session on those three.

Verdict: a good fish for players who already have a rod that handles Legendary fights. Wait for the rainy summer day, load Shrimp, and expect both a large payout and a big jump in XP when it lands.
