Inferno Wood guide
Inferno Wood is a Mythical, but it is not a fish in the usual sense: it is a lump of wood that, per its description, holds the power of the Earth's magma core. It is collected at Roslit Volcano, and the data lists no bait, hour, weather or season conditions.
It is tiny and valuable by weight. An average Inferno Wood weighs 0.2 kg, with a range of 0.1 to 0.4 kg, and the max ranks 651st of 663, among the lightest entries. At C$3,500 per kg, the average value is C$700, ranking 359th of 742 documented fish, and it gives 90 base XP. That is respectable money, but modest for a Mythical.
The Tryhard Rod is sold in the same zone, a handy detail for anyone already visiting. The reason to pursue Inferno Wood is the crafting use hinted at in its description, not the sale price. If you only want cash, there are higher-paying catches elsewhere; if you are working toward a build that needs rare materials, this is worth the trip.
