Moon Wood

Legend says Moon Wood is used to craft one of the strongest rods, and it can be found around Snowcap Island. Calling it a fish is generous: it is a Legendary item with a weight of 0.1 kg to 0.6 kg, averaging 0.2 kg.

On price, the numbers look odd. The listed price is C$2,250 per kg, yet the average value is only C$450, which puts it 405th of the 742 documented fish by average value. The maximum weight ranks 641st of 663 fish with a documented maximum, so very few things weigh less. The wood is interesting because of what the quote says it is for, not because of what it sells for.

The rod sold on the island is the Fallen Snowblade, so anyone working through the zone will see that gear first. No bait, weather, season or time conditions are listed, so you do not need to prepare in any special way.

My advice is to hold on to it rather than sell it. At C$450, selling gains you little, and the in-game text hints at a use that matters more than a small payout. If you are a collector or planning to craft, keep it. If you need cash, a heavier catch from the same waters will serve you better.
