Mosaic Swimmer guide

The Mosaic Swimmer is an Uncommon fish whose scales form intricate patterns, matching the mosaics around it. It appears in Atlantis and in the Ethereal Abyss Pool, uses Coral as bait, and is available in Spring at any time of day and in any weather.

Weights run from 2 kg to 8.4 kg, with a 3 kg average, and the maximum ranks 479th of 663 fish with a documented maximum. At C$37.50 per kg, the average catch is worth C$112.50, 575th of the 742 documented fish by average value, and gives 95 base XP. These are small numbers.

The Atlantis group at the same rarity is long: Colossal Carp, Echo Fisher, Shadowfang Snapper, Tentacled Horror and Titan Tuna. That means the swimmer is one of many fish you might bring up at this level. The rods sold in these zones are Abyssal Specter Rod, Champions Rod, Depthseeker Rod and Tempest Rod, which gives you plenty of choices for gear.

My honest take is that this is a filler catch. It has no demanding conditions, which is its main virtue, but it pays little. If you are in Atlantis with Coral for another reason, it will come up and sell for a modest sum. As a primary target, though, there are much better uses of a spring session.
