Nessie's Spine

Nessie's Spine is a Limited item from Mushgrove Swamp that cannot be obtained any more. The wiki marks it as Limited and Unobtainable. The in-game text calls it a mythical vertebra said to belong to Nessie, which ties it thematically to the Nessie fish of the Frightful Pool event, though the data does not explain how the two were connected.

It was a very flexible drop: bait, time, weather and season are all listed as Any, which means no conditions had to line up. It averaged 5.6 kg with a maximum of 10.9 kg, ranking 454th of 663 fish by weight. At C$31 per kg it was worth C$175, placing it 511th of the 742 documented fish, in the lower third.

Mushgrove Swamp sells Frog Rod and Fungal Rod, which tells you what gear was available when it was around.

Verdict: if you hold one, its value is a modest C$175, so the item is mainly of interest as a keepsake from past content. Selling is reasonable if you need the coins, and keeping it costs you nothing but inventory space. If you never had one, do not look for a way to get it: nothing in the data offers a route. Put your time into fish you can still catch in Mushgrove Swamp or elsewhere.
