Resin guide
Resin is a Secret-rarity catch from Mushgrove Swamp, and it behaves more like a mid-priced find than the rarity suggests. The listing gives no bait, weather or season, only the zone. It weighs 2.3 to 26.1 kg, averaging 7.9 kg, and sells at C$100 per kg, so the average catch is worth C$790, with 250 base XP on top.
Compared with the rest of the documented fish, it lands in the middle. Its average value is 349th of 742, and its maximum weight is 371st of 663. So set your expectations accordingly: this is a respectable sale, not a jackpot.
Since the fish is obtainable and not marked limited, you can go after it at any time. Mushgrove Swamp sells Frog Rod and Fungal Rod, which makes them the natural choices if you want to fish where Resin lives without travelling for gear. With a weight spread this wide, the occasional heavy one near the 26 kg ceiling will pay several times the average, so keep casting rather than judging it by a single catch.
Sell it unless you are collecting Secret fish. The 250 XP is small next to its price, which makes coin the main reward.
