Northstar Whale guide
If a winter fishing trip to Northstar Castle sounds appealing, the Northstar Whale is the reason. It is listed as Limited but currently obtainable, and it only appears in Winter under Clear weather. The game calls it a majestic whale glowing like the north star.
The size is what matters: 17,500 kg on average, between 15,000 kg and 42,000 kg. At C$1.75 per kg that comes to C$30,625 per average fish, 55th of 742 documented fish by value, while its maximum weight ranks 61st of 663. It also gives 20,000 base XP.
Three other Limited fish are documented in the same zone: Jolly Bait Crate, Merry Manta Ray and Santa Whale Shark. That tells you Northstar Castle is a seasonal-themed spot where several Limited catches compete for your attention.
Verdict: a strong sale. Since it is Limited, do not wait around thinking it will always be there; fish it while the Winter and Clear conditions are available and cash it in for the C$30,625.
