Santa Whale Shark

Winter is the only season for the Santa Whale Shark, and it only shows up around Northstar Castle when the weather is Clear. It carries the Limited rarity, and the in-game description sums it up as a whale shark in a full Santa suit that delivers gifts and tidal waves.

It is a small specimen for a shark: 3 to 10.5 kg, averaging 4 kg. That ranks 457 of 663 by maximum weight, so do not expect a monster. The value is better than the weight suggests. At C$699 per kg an average catch sells for about C$2,796, placing it 232nd of the 742 documented fish, and it grants 2,800 base XP.

Northstar Castle also produces Jolly Bait Crate, Merry Manta Ray and Northstar Whale at the same rarity, so a Winter session there can fill several Limited slots at once. The practical plan is to go during Winter on a Clear day, accept that this is a rare roll rather than a guaranteed one, and sell the shark if you only need cash. Its XP is large enough that keeping the cast going pays off either way.
