Manatee guide

With an average of 5,000 kg and a maximum of 21,000 kg, the Manatee is one of the heaviest things you can pull out of Terrapin Island. That maximum puts it 76th of 663 fish with a documented maximum weight, which is a strong showing for weight alone.

Money is a different story. It sells for only C$0.25 per kg, so the average catch is worth C$1,250, 303rd of the 742 documented fish by average value. Its Secret rarity promises more than the sale price delivers. The reason to chase it is the 8,000 base XP, which is large next to its cash value.

To hook one you need Seaweed as bait, Clear weather and Day time, and it appears in both Spring and Winter. Magnet Rod and Wildflower Rod are the two rods sold in the same zone, so either can be your starting tool. My advice: fish it for the XP and the collection, and do not count on it as an income source. If you only care about C$, other fish pay far better for the effort of setting up the right conditions.
