X-ray Tetra

X-ray Tetra is an Extinct-rarity fish that you can no longer catch; it is tagged Unobtainable and tied to the Second Sea. The wiki describes a transparent body with a colorful hue inside, light blue fins and vibrant eyes.

Its old conditions were specific: Open Ocean, Summer, Day, Windy weather, and Sapphire Krill as bait. It was a big fish for a tetra, from 300 kg to 1,575 kg and averaging 525 kg, ranking 154th of 663 by max weight. At C$6.333 per kg, an average catch sold for C$3,325, which ranks 214th of the 742 documented fish by average value. Base XP was 2,375.

That puts it in the upper third on value, and Apex Leviathan, Black Swallower, Four Eyes Fish, Pelican Eel, Psychedelic Frogfish and Rock Gunnel are the other Extinct fish listed for the same zone. If you own one, the sale price is solid, but with the fish no longer obtainable, it makes more sense to keep it than to cash it in. For anyone still collecting records, it is a useful reference for how Extinct fish in Open Ocean were priced.
