Ethereal Prism Rod review
Two gates stand between you and Ethereal Prism Rod: it costs C$3,500,000 and requires Level 250, and you find it in Mariana's Veil (Calm Zone). It carries a passive and a masteries tag, and the wiki describes a rod infused with the spectral essence of rare, mutated exotics.
Its stat line is strong across the board. Luck of 195 is 51st of 184 obtainable rods, Lure Speed 95 is 37th of 184, Control 0.25 is 15th of 185, Resilience 40 is 30th of 184 and the 250,000 kg weight cap is 16th of 117 rods that list one. No weak spot, which is unusual at this price.
The cost-benefit is where it gets debated. Cinder Block Rod (luck 300, C$50,000), Destiny Rod (luck 250, C$190,000) and Cupid's Embrace (luck 214, C$15,000) all beat the Luck for a fraction of the price. Where Ethereal Prism pulls ahead is the combination of high Control, quick bites and a heavy cap, plus the passive tied to mutated catches.
Buy it if you already have a strong luck rod and want a rod that is comfortable to use at every stage of a catch, or if the mutation angle is your goal. If you only want Luck, the cheaper rods win. Get to Level 250 first and keep the C$3.5 million for when the other pieces are in place.
