Pen Rod review
Pen Rod was a reward handed out to editors of Fischipedia, and it can no longer be obtained. Its listed cost is C$0, which fits: nobody bought it, it was given as thanks for wiki work.
The stat line is respectable for a free item. Luck is 150, Lure Speed is 65, Control is 0.15 and Resilience is 10, and the rod carries a passive. Those numbers would sit in the middle of the field if it were available, with Luck being the best of them.
Because it is unobtainable, the useful question is what it is worth to you now. It is not something to farm toward or save currency for. If you see one in a trade or an inventory, it is a keepsake from the community side of the game, closer to a badge than to a tool.
If you want a rod with the same 150 Luck that you can actually get, look through the shop listings instead of waiting for this one to resurface. Pen Rod belongs in the record as a curiosity: a modest, free rod with a story behind it, not a target.
