Katana Rod review
Katana Rod was a Black Market exclusive in Moosewood, priced at C$1,000,000, and its description jokes that it is good at cutting fruit. It is currently unobtainable, so the price is only historical. It carries a passive.
Its stats were strong for a rod of its era. 95 Lure Speed and 150 Luck are the two headline numbers, with 0.15 Control and 10 Resilience. No weight cap is listed, and the entry gives no ranks among today's obtainable rods since it cannot be obtained.
Even so, the Luck was never unmatched. Challenger's Rod (190 Luck, C$750,000), Cerulean Fang Rod (190 Luck, C$800,000) and Cinder Block Rod (300 Luck, C$50,000) all offer more Luck for less money. The Katana Rod's draw was exclusivity and the speed, not a bargain.
So if you are wondering whether you missed out, the answer is mostly no. You can reach similar or higher Luck with rods you can actually buy right now. It matters mainly as a curiosity for people who follow the Black Market's past offerings, and as a reminder that its price was well above the cheaper rods that outperform it on Luck.
