Sunken Rod review
You will not find the Sunken Rod in a shop. It drops only from Treasure Chests, which spawn at 50 different spots across the First Sea, so getting one means hunting chests rather than saving money.
The stats justify some of that effort. Its Luck of 150 ranks 70th of 184 obtainable rods, which puts it in the upper half but well short of the top tier. Lure Speed is 50 (127th of 184) and Resilience is 15 (105th), both middling. Control is 0.15, 54th of 185, and the rod can handle up to 25,000 kg, 51st of 117 rods that list a weight limit.
The passive is the real draw. Every 10 catches you get a 25% luckier chance to pull up a Treasure Map, and every fish has an 8% chance to carry the Sunken Mutation.
My advice: keep it if a chest hands you one, especially because the map chance feeds more treasure hunting. If you are chasing raw Luck, other rods beat it, but a mutation roll on every single fish is not something the stat line alone shows.
