Verdant Oath review
Verdant Oath sells in Verdant Pocket for C$12,500,000 and is built around Luck. 300 Luck ranks 8th of 184 obtainable rods, and 75 Resilience also ranks 8th of 184, which is rare: most high-Luck rods give up durability to get there. Lure Speed of 95 ranks 37th, Control of 0.1 ranks 76th of 185, and Progress Speed is 35. It has no passive.
That is a very complete set. Rare fish should show up often, the rod resists pressure from big fish, and the Progress Speed fills the minigame faster. The flavor text describes a blade bound by the forest's oath.
The price question is blunt, though. Cinder Block Rod (300 Luck, C$50,000), Dead Man's Rod (300 Luck, C$5,000,000) and Ruinous Oath (300 Luck, C$5,000,000) all match its Luck for less. None of them is listed with its Resilience or Progress Speed here, so the comparison is on Luck only.
Buy it if you want the balanced package and can afford C$12,500,000 without slowing your progress. If Luck is all you want, Cinder Block Rod gives you the same number for a fraction of the cost.
