Durian

The Durian is a limited, multi-harvest legendary crop introduced during the Angry Plant Event, and that combination is what defines its economics. Because it is multi-harvest, you pay the acquisition cost only once and then collect fruit repeatedly, which is exactly the profile you want from a high-rarity plant — the more cycles you squeeze out, the faster it pays back whatever event currency or Sheckles it cost you.

What makes Durian unusually flexible is its triple typing: it is classified as a Prickly, Tropical, and Woody Fruit, so it benefits from any tool, pet, or event buff that targets any of those three categories. Few crops stack three buff tags at once, and that overlap is the real reason to keep one growing rather than uproot it.

For mutation stacking, treat Durian like any premium fruit: prioritize value multipliers such as Gold, Rainbow, and weather-driven states (Wet, Chilled, Frozen) before selling, since a legendary base value scales hard. Grow it in mid-to-late progression once you can protect it through admin or weather mutations, not as an early filler crop.
