This tier list ranks Grow a Garden gear by what the item does for your income relative to its price and how easy it is to find. The wiki does not publish a ranking, so the tiers are editorial judgment based on the effects, prices and stock odds listed on the Gear Shop page and the individual gear pages. Probabilities derived from the wiki's figures, rather than listed by it, are marked as calculated. The previous version of this list got several prices wrong, including the Honey Sprinkler and the Silver Fertilizer, and those are corrected below.
How the Gear Shop works
The Gear Shop, run by Eloise, restocks every 5 minutes. The initial stock is the same on every server. Six items are always in stock: the Watering Can, Trowel, Recall Wrench, Trading Ticket, Favorite Tool and Harvest Tool. Everything else rolls a chance per restock, listed in the table below as 1 in N.
Not every gear item is sold there. The Lush Sprinkler, Honey Sprinkler, Silver Fertilizer, Rainbow Fertilizer, Lightning Rod and Flower Froster Sprinkler have other sources, covered in their own entries.

S tier: Master and Grandmaster Sprinklers
Master Sprinkler: 10,000,000 Sheckles or 199 Robux, stocked 1 in 100. The wiki says it "greatly increases growth speed, mutation chance, and harvest size". If you treat each 5-minute restock as independent, there is about a 94.5% chance it appears at least once in 24 hours, and the average wait is around 8 hours 20 minutes.
Grandmaster Sprinkler: 1,000,000,000 Sheckles or 279 Robux, stocked 1 in 300. The wiki says it "massively" raises growth speed, mutation chance and fruit size, and boosts pets. The chance of seeing it in a 24-hour period is about 62%, and the average wait is around 25 hours. It is also a possible reward from the Forever Pack's Medium pool.
Both are late-game purchases. Before you spend 10 million, the cheaper sprinklers below cover growth and size.
A tier
Godly Sprinkler (120,000 Sheckles or 149 Robux, 1 in 11): growth speed, mutation chance and harvest size. It is the first sprinkler with all three effects, and with a 1 in 11 chance per restock the average wait is about 55 minutes.
Advanced Sprinkler (50,000 Sheckles or 99 Robux, 1 in 7): adds mutation chance to the growth bonus.
Harvest Tool (30,000,000 Sheckles or 149 Robux, always in stock): harvests all fruit from the selected plant at once. It saves taps on large multi-harvest plants.
Magnifying Glass (10,000,000 Sheckles or 99 Robux, 1 in 3): reveals the value and growth progress of a plant, and the value updates dynamically.
Favorite Tool (20,000,000 Sheckles or 119 Robux, always in stock): prevents the selected crops from being picked up, and the stand skips favorited fruit when you sell your inventory.
B tier
Basic Sprinkler (25,000 Sheckles or 79 Robux, 1 in 3): increases growth speed and harvest size, without mutation chance.
Watering Can (50,000 Sheckles or 39 Robux, always in stock): speeds up crop growth while you use it.
Cleaning Spray (15,000,000 Sheckles or 139 Robux, 1 in 3): removes all mutations from the selected crop, which is a reset button for a fruit whose total is poor.
Lightning Rod: crafted for 1 Basic Sprinkler, 1 Advanced Sprinkler, 1 Godly Sprinkler and 500,000 Sheckles, with a total of 795,000 Sheckles, or bought for 179 Robux. The crafting wait is 45 minutes. It attracts lightning to its radius so fruit near it can become Shocked, works 3 times and then disappears.
Flower Froster Sprinkler: 50,000,000 Sheckles or 229 Robux from the Sprinkler Merchant. It increases growth speed and applies Frozen to flower-type plants only, for 2.5 minutes.
C tier
Lush Sprinkler: 30,000,000 Sheckles or 299 Robux. It applies Lush (x3) to plants in a small radius. The wiki connects it to the Safari Harvest Event and its store, and its text calls it unobtainable while the infobox says obtainable, so check in game before saving for it.
Honey Sprinkler: 30 Honey Coins or 199 Robux. The earlier version of this list gave a price of 30 Robux, which is wrong. It applies HoneyGlazed (x5) to produce in range for 1 minute, and the wiki lists it with the Honey Traveling Merchant.
Chocolate Sprinkler: gives the Choc mutation (x2). The wiki's trivia calls it an event-exclusive sprinkler.
Silver Fertilizer: 10,000,000 Sheckles. It makes a plant Silver (x5) for 2 hours, with a small chance of lasting after that. It is sold in the Goliath's Goods shop and the Season Store, and the wiki lists no Robux price.
Rainbow Fertilizer: a Forever Pack reward that applies the Rainbow variant (x50) for 2 hours. The chance is about 0.29% per reward roll, calculated from the 4.99% Medium pool and a 5.848% share inside it. Gold Fertilizer is marked limited and not obtainable.
Friendship Pot: 15,000,000 Sheckles or 39 Robux, stocked 1 in 50. Two players tend each other's linked pots every 24 hours. A garden can hold up to 4 linked pots, and when a pot is fully grown it can apply Friendbound (x70). More pots raise the chance.
D tier
- Trowel: 100,000 Sheckles or 49 Robux. Realigns crops.
- Trading Ticket: 100,000 Sheckles or 19 Robux. Required for trading, which needs an account at least 7 days old. The earlier version said it worked only in private servers, and the wiki does not say that.
- Recall Wrench: 150,000 Sheckles or 59 Robux. Teleports you to the Gear Shop.
- Pet items: Medium Treat and Medium Toy (4,000,000 Sheckles each), Pet Name Reroller (10,000,000), Pet Lead (20,000,000), Cleansing Pet Shard (30,000,000) and Levelup Lollipop (10,000,000,000 Sheckles or 79 Robux).
Stock odds at a glance
Because the shop rolls every 5 minutes, there are 288 restocks in a day. Treating each as independent, the Basic, Advanced and Godly Sprinklers are all but certain to appear within 24 hours. The Master Sprinkler shows up with about 94.5% probability and the Grandmaster Sprinkler with about 62%. The Cleansing Pet Shard (1 in 12) and the Friendship Pot (1 in 50) sit in between. These are estimates from the wiki's listed odds, since the shop's code is not public, so a miss on a given day does not mean the item is gone.

Common mistakes
- Waiting for a Master Sprinkler before using Godly. It appears about once every 8 hours, so use the cheaper ones now.
- Treating the Levelup Lollipop as a good Sheckle purchase. At 10,000,000,000 Sheckles it costs ten times a Grandmaster Sprinkler.
- Assuming limited gear is sold in the Gear Shop. Several sprinklers and fertilizers are not.
