Firemaking I

Firemaking I is one of the very first progression badges you will earn, awarded the first time you upgrade your Campfire to level 3. It sits at a gentle 1-star difficulty and pays a small 2-diamond reward — fitting for a milestone that essentially happens as a byproduct of playing the early game properly.

The campfire is the heart of any run: it keeps you warm, wards off the dark, and is your central upgrade priority. Reaching level 3 simply means feeding it the wood it needs across two upgrades from its starting state. Early on, prioritize chopping trees over almost everything else and funnel those logs straight into the fire rather than hoarding them.

Because the requirement is only the first level-3 upgrade, there is no grind and no danger involved — you will likely clear it within your opening days as you naturally develop your base. Treat it as a tutorial-tier checkpoint: getting the fire to level 3 quickly also makes your nights safer, so the badge and good survival habits reinforce each other.
