Firemaking IV โ€” In-Depth Analysis

Firemaking IV is the capstone of the campfire line: it unlocks the first time you push the fire to its maximum level 6, which fully reveals the entire map. Rated 2 stars and rewarding 4 diamonds, it asks for noticeably more commitment than the level-5 milestone before it, since the final upgrade is the most log-hungry of all.

The challenge is purely logistical. By the time you reach level 6 you have likely cleared the trees nearest camp, so plan dedicated wood runs into the outer rings, ideally once those rings are already lit by your growing fire. Keep at least one player chopping continuously and stockpile logs beside the fire before committing the upgrade, so a sudden night raid does not cost you the run.

The big payoff is map-wide vision: every chest, structure, and danger zone becomes visible, turning the late game into a planned looting operation instead of blind exploration. Coordinate as a team, defend the camp through the upgrade nights, and don't hoard logs in personal inventory when the fire needs them. Once level 6 lands, the 4-diamond reward and the open map are yours.
