Toolfinding — In-Depth Analysis
Toolfinding is a gear-collection badge with four separate parts, all of which must be obtained in the same run. You need a Giant Sack, either a Strong Axe or a Chainsaw, a Strong Flashlight, and one piece of high-level armor. The requirement names four armors that count: Iron Body, Obsidian Body, Alien Armor and Thorn Body. Because the pieces come from different sources, the badge is mostly about exploring enough of the map to find or build all of them before the run ends.
Its listed difficulty is 2 stars of difficulty, and the payout is a reward of 6 diamonds.
It debuted among the permanent badges of The Forest Wakes Up update on June 13, 2026. It is rated two stars, one more than the simple trade and collection badges of the same batch, which reflects the number of distinct items that have to line up in a single run.
