Guide

Quick Summary

Helping Happy (October 3, 2026): Happy the Halloween Guy has been taken apart by The Ram. Webs, Happy's Scythe, three temporary badges and a recap of every update since Alien's Revenge, summarized from the wiki.

The latest update listed on the 99 Nights in the Forest wiki is "Helping Happy", which went live on October 3, 2026. It is the first half of the game's Halloween season: Happy the Halloween Guy has been knocked apart by The Ram, and the whole server has to find his limbs, rebuild him and, along the way, deal with spider webs that can only be cleared with a new weapon, Happy's Scythe. This guide collects what the community wiki documents about the update in one place, then recaps every update since "Alien's Revenge" in June, because the game has shipped a lot in a few months. None of it comes from our own in-game testing, and the details can change whenever the developers patch the game, so treat every number as what the wiki currently says.

Helping Happy at a glance

  • Name and date: "Helping Happy", wiki entry 2026.10.3 (October 3, 2026). The wiki also labels it "Halloween Update Part 1", and no second part is listed yet.
  • Premise: Happy the Halloween Guy has been "boned" by The Ram, and his limbs are scattered around the map. Players find them and put him back together.
  • New mechanic: Webs that spawn all over the map and can only be cleared with Happy's Scythe.
  • New weapon: Happy's Scythe, a three-level tool that is waiting at the campfire next to Happy's head when the event is active.
  • New badges (temporary): Reaping, Strawcraft and Sweeping, plus a furniture reward, Happy's Cart, for earning all three.
  • Codes: the wiki's code list shows no new code for this update, and "happyhalloween" is marked expired.

The story: Happy and The Ram

Happy the Halloween Guy is the pumpkin-headed character who already appears in the lobby during Halloween, where he explains trick or treating and runs the Halloween shop. In this update the wiki describes him as having been taken apart by The Ram, the volcanic-biome entity that is already one of the more dangerous animals in the forest. At the campfire you find Happy's head, and interacting with it gives you a set of dialogue options such as "What happened?", "How can I help?" and "Let's go". From there the goal is to explore the map, collect his limbs and rebuild him.

The wiki's badge notes add one useful detail: the Strawcraft badge is awarded the first time Happy is rebuilt, and it counts as soon as he is put together. You do not have to also get him off The Ram for the badge to unlock.

Webs and Happy's Scythe

The new moving part of the update is the web system. According to the wiki, webs now spawn all over the map and are very common. If you hit one with a normal weapon, or shoot it, the game answers "You need a special weapon to clear this." Only Happy's Scythe can clear a web. The wiki also says webs stop spawning around campfire level 5, and that there are two real kinds: the ball-shaped web and a second kind used as decoration and obstacles around Happy's body-part structures.

Breaking webs pays off. The wiki says a web can hold one random item, and lists the possible contents:

  • Pumpkins, Old Radios and Broken Fans
  • Old Axe Cultists, Spear Cultists and Scorpions
  • Cultist Gems, Mossy Coins, Coal and Berries
  • Wooden Chairs, Morsels, Frogs and Pumpkin Pie

That mix means a web can be a gift or an ambush, which is part of the appeal. The same hits that clear webs also level up your scythe, so the two goals feed each other.

The three scythe levels

The scythe starts at level 1 when you take it from the campfire and has three levels in total. The update log gives these numbers:

  • Level 1: 15 damage, and 10 hits to destroy a web.
  • Level 2: 40 damage, and 4 hits to destroy a web.
  • Level 3: listed as under 60 damage, and a single hit destroys a web.

The Webs page on the wiki gives a different figure for level 1, saying it takes 13 hits instead of 10. The two pages disagree, so the exact level 1 number is uncertain; both agree that level 2 takes 4 hits and level 3 takes one. The Webs page also explains that every hit on a web gives your scythe experience, that the one-hit decorative webs still give as much experience as a regular web, and that if your scythe levels up in the middle of a web, the web resets, so you need the hits of the new level to finish it.

The Reaping badge asks you to bring the scythe to its maximum level. The wiki says that can be done by hitting webs and by killing entities, so combat and web clearing both count toward it.

The three badges

The update adds three temporary badges. The wiki's Badges page lists their rewards and difficulty like this:

BadgeWhat you doDifficultyReward
ReapingLevel up Happy's Scythe to its maximum level (level 3)1.5 stars5 Diamonds
StrawcraftHelp your team assemble Happy back together2 stars8 Diamonds
SweepingDestroy 200 webs with Happy's Scythe2.5 stars8 Diamonds

Earning all three also gives the Happy's Cart furniture item. All three are marked temporary, so they are tied to the event window. If you care about badge completion, this is the part of the update to plan around.

What else changed recently

Helping Happy is the newest entry, but it sits at the end of a busy stretch. The wiki states that since the June 2026 update "The Forest Wakes Up", updates arrive every two weeks on Saturdays at 1 PM EST, and that an update takes effect about 30 minutes after the Update Party begins. Update Parties themselves happen every Saturday at 1 PM EST whether or not an update ships. If that cadence holds, the next drop would land on a Saturday two weeks after October 3, but no date has been announced, and anything beyond the wiki is unconfirmed.

Here is every update the wiki records between "Alien's Revenge" and now.

2026.7.12 - Dino Kid

You can now befriend Dino Kid. After rescuing him you keep him fed and return his lost trinkets, which levels him up. The update added a family of badges: Playtime (give him 10 different objects with unique interactions), Babysitting (level him to 5), Warding (defend him from the harder cultist attack after finding all his trinkets) and Dino Kid Tape 1, 2 and 3 for protecting him over 5, 25 and 60 nights. Those nights add up across sessions, so you do not need to protect him for all of them in one game. Completing all the badges awards the Dinosaur Egg furniture.

2026.7.25 - The Bee Mini Biome

A new Bee mini biome arrived. It rotates randomly with the Fairy mini biome in each play session. You prepare beehives by planting flowers and use the new honey currency to unlock items; the Beekeeper, for example, sells the Honey Spear. The badges are Apiary, Beekeeping and Hivecraft.

2026.8.8 - Kids Have Jobs

After Dino Kid, the other missing children get jobs too: Kraken Kid fishes, Squid Kid cooks food and Koala Kid searches for scraps, and the scrap does not need to exist in your world. Each kid has a lunchbox, a toy and a plush hidden around the map. Badges: Kraken Daycare, Squid Daycare and Koala Daycare.

2026.8.22 - Biome Refresher

A pass over the weaker biomes. The Snow Biome gained a bell tower and an owl's nest, the Jungle gained outposts and a reskinned final temple, and Boars now drop tusks used to craft a boar helmet at the tool workshop (four boar tusks and two mammoth tusks), which raises defense and grants immunity to poison damage. Feathers returned as snow-biome loot, a boost pad recipe tablet can be found in the ice palace, healing items got a green hue in the hotbar, saplings can no longer fuel the fire, and the Infernal Chest at the Volcanic Church became a Hot Chest. New badges: Bellringing, Aerodynamics and Nestbuilding, with the Polar Bearskin Rug for earning all three.

2026.9.5 - New Classes

Three new classes: Escape Artist, Elemental and Woodsman, each with a quest badge and a bonsai tree furniture reward for all three. The same update added daily quests and fire offerings, according to the wiki.

2026.9.19 - 2x Gem Weekend

A celebration of the game being awarded Best Survival Game at the Roblox Innovation Awards. The Classes shop was reworked so everything in a class is available to buy at all times, and discounts returned: three random classes get -10%, -15% and -20% off. The Owl no longer causes an increase in entities when it spawns. The double Diamonds ended on Monday, September 21.

Codes, classes and the rest of the database

The wiki's code page lists "awardwinner_yay", "afterparty" and "forestwakesup26" as active, with "happyhalloween" expired. Our codes page tracks the same list. For the new classes and other additions, see the class list, the badges list and the item pages on this site, which were refreshed from the wiki alongside this guide.
